Kirk has worked in the actuarial field for over 30 years. He has extensive experience assisting regulators with financial examinations of both health and property and casualty insurers. His work also includes reserving in support of statutory Statements of Actuarial Opinion for property and casualty carriers. In addition, Kirk has performed both health and property and casualty reserve analyses for captives and for self-insured entities, as well as funding studies for self-insured medical and pharmacy plans.
Prior to joining ER, Kirk was with the actuarial consulting firm Merlinos & Associates for 18 years. Kirk’s actuarial experience also includes time with Coopers & Lybrand, Prudential Reinsurance, and Kwasha Lipton. In addition, he has taught high school mathematics, owned and operated an automotive repair and a machine shop business, and served as a New Jersey State Trooper.
Kirk received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from William Paterson University. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and a Member of the Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). Kirk lives and works in Cypress Inn, Tennessee.
