The International Consulting Services Division has staff that has worked for both the insurance and reinsurance sectors as well as regulators who are former senior staff at U.S. state insurance departments, Chairs of National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) working groups, attorneys, modeling and pricing actuaries and senior technical consultants who have assisted the World Bank, IMF, Asian Development Bank and the IAIS.
We recognize the global pressures that both insurers and regulatory authorities face. The insurance industry is in a constant state of flux. It is difficult for both regulators and insurers to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of emerging risks and regulations needed to address new risks. Internationally active insurance groups must navigate a complex web of jurisdiction specific, regional, and international laws, standards and guidelines. There is a need for the marketplace to maintain adequate transparency, uniformity and oversight. Our experience extends to working with all stakeholders of the changing international strategic landscape and offering common sense solutions to developing an effective and efficient insurance sector.
