Previous to joining ER in 2014, Thea worked for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) for eleven years where she was the Product Implementation Manager responsible for marketing and implementing state and industry users of the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF) and Online Premium Tax for Insurance (OPTins).
Thea has a strong background in insurance compliance with an emphasis in State Insurance Department uniformity initiatives related to speed-to-market, regulatory compliance, ACA, and state-specific filing requirements. Over the years Thea served as staff support and was involved in various NAIC Working Groups related to the ACA and efforts to streamline processes related to state insurance regulation. As the Project Management Specialist for ER, Thea works with the management staff to ensure all project objectives, internal and external, are met. Thea is a member of the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES). Thea resides and works in Kansas City, Missouri.
