Maggie is an Assistant Supervisor of Examination Resource's MHPAEA NQTL Team. She is an applied sociologist and compliance professional with over two decades of experience in various facets of the healthcare industry. Maggie spent the first decade of her career as a mental health clinician assessing and treating the medically fragile. She transitioned into academia as an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Director of Graduate Services at Marshall University, where she researched the health behaviors of marginalized populations and produced manuscripts published by Routledge, Elgar, and Sage. For the past six years, she has focused her career on regulatory healthcare compliance at non-profit and commercial businesses. She has NQTL experience over the last three years at a major health plan, compiling NQTL comparative analyses and responding to MHPAEA audits at both state and federal levels.
Maggie earned her PhD in Applied Sociology from the University of Louisville. She also holds an MEd in Counseling Psychology and Personnel Services, BA in Psychology, BA in Music, and is in the process of completing a Master of Public Health. She is a member of the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES) and holds the Certified Insurance Examiner (CIE) and Fellow, Academy for Healthcare Management (FAHM) designations. Maggie resides and works in Southern Indiana.
