Steve has been in the field of insurance regulation for 32+ years and started his career as a financial examiner with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation in 1989. Steve has 22 years of experience as a financial examiner, a financial analyst, a chief examiner, and a chief financial analyst. Prior to joining ER, Steve was the Senior Director of Operations and Examinations for the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund where he managed exposure examinations and claims examinations.
As a Manager for ER, Steve’s main duties are special projects. Steve’s regulatory experience includes financial examinations, financial analysis, insurer licensing and troubled company administration. Steve obtained his degree in accounting from Syracuse University and holds the following designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Accredited Insurance Examiner (AIE), Associate in Reinsurance (ARe), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and Certified Public Manager (CPM). Steve resides and works in Tallahassee, Florida, is a member of IRES, and is the 2006-2007 past president of SOFE.
