Michelle comes to ER with more than 20 years of experience in public management, policy and healthcare. She worked for Florida Blue in the development and maintenance of the Evidence-Based Medical Coverage Guidelines for all lines of business and served as SME support to workgroups and projects. She has work experience as a liaison to 27 municipalities in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky and a variety of federal and state agencies. She has previously worked for the Colorado Department of Healthcare Policy & Financing, the Florida Department of Health, and the Florida Department of Children & Families obtaining working knowledge of the CHP program, Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance. Michelle has experience with the NAIC, analyzing legislative bills, drafting insurance policies and procedures, and analyzing insurance material. At ER, Michelle works across our form filing, market conduct and our new MHPAEA NQTL Audit teams.
Michelle is a member of the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES) and holds the designation of Market Conduct Management (MCM). She holds a Bachelor Degrees in English and Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama, a Masters of Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University, and is currently, pursuing a PhD in Clinical and Research Psychology. This degree allows for a unique perspective into the field of psychology, and insight in to practice and research skills. Michelle works and resides in Rockville, Maryland.
