Jean’s career has been focused on the field of insurance regulation for the past 20+ years. She excels at efficiently coordinating financial examinations of large and complex insurer groups. She has also specialized in performing financial examinations of troubled insurers including numerous RRG and captive exams. Jean closely follows the activities of the NAIC’s working groups and has developed customized templates that increase examination efficiencies while ensuring accreditation standards will be met or exceeded.
Jean joined Examination Resources as a contractor before becoming an employee in
2020. She retired in 2018 as the partner in charge of a CPA firm’s regulatory services practice, which she had founded five years earlier. From 2001 – 2012, she was an Examination Manager supervising a team of over 15 examiners and actuaries. Jean started her career as an auditor with a Big Six CPA firm in Orlando, Florida.
Jean lives in Atlanta, GA and is a member of Society of Financial Examiners (SOFE), where she served 10 years on the Board of Governors. She received her B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and became a CPA in 1991. Jean obtained her CISA certification in 2006 and has a keen interest in IT risks and controls.
