The Information Technology (IT) Services Division assists state Departments of Insurance and federal agencies with the examination of insurer’s IT systems to ensure compliance, integrity and reliability of those systems as they pertain to financial and market conduct exams, supervisions, rehabilitations, receiverships, and other special projects as they are requested. Our IT examination services follow an industry standard framework (such as COBIT, NIST, ITIL, etc.) to ensure a comprehensive and complete evaluation and review. Our IT specialist team is made of up dedicated professionals who hold the required and complementary designations to perform and deliver these technical consulting services. All senior examiners hold the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA, and many hold the Automation Examination Specialist (AES) certification from the Society of Financial Examiners (SOFE). Additionally, most hold the Accredited Financial Examiner (AFE) and Certified Financial Examiner (CFE) designations from SOFE, which further validates their knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry. Additional designations include Market Conduct Manager (MCM) and Advance Market Conduct Manager (AMCM) from the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES), and a number of specialized technical certifications related to IT systems, technology, and cybersecurity.
